It’s no news that Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, and his wife Priscilla Chan are big fans of the immigration reform.
Over the years, they have been involved, both passively and actively, in many actions and organizations concerning immigration problems. Recently, they gave away $5 million to a scholarship fund for illegal immigrants who want to attend school. This money will go to young incomers around the San Francisco Bay Area who want to attend college.
This is not the first time that Zuckerberg has donated money for such a cause. Two years ago, he founded a lobbying group named FWD.us, in order to ease the pathway to permanent residency for 11 million undocumented immigrants. According to Mark Zuckerberg, immigrants are a great part of America’s culture and history, and they should be encouraged and helped to obtain citizenship.
Many of Zuckerberg’s employees at Facebook are immigrants, some of them in high positions.
