Health-care related jobs occupy 13 out of the top twenty fastest-growing occupations in the U.S., a new report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows. Many of the following fastest-growing positions are health-care related. Demand for occupational therapy assistants is expected to increase 43 percent by 2024. Demand for physical therapist assistants, who now earn on average $55,170 per year, is also expected to grow by more than 40 percent. Optometrists are among the highest-paying specialist in the U.S., making more than $100,000 per year. The job is predicted to grow by 27 percent until 2024.
Many of these occupations are already in high demand. In fact, health-care related jobs have been among the most sought-after and highest-paying gigs over the past few years.
